CHEVROLET PERFORMANCE CATALOG – 2023 More Choices — and More Big Blocks! Introduced in 1965 as the ultimate performance engine option in the Corvette and later Chevy muscle cars — including the original COPO Camaro models — the incomparable Big-Block has thrived for nearly 60 years. Chevrolet Performance has continually worked to improve Big-Block performance and stretch its capabilities, and this year we’re expanding our choices with the all-new SP502/605 Deluxe crate engine and components. Starting with one of our most popular Big-Block crate engines, Chevrolet Performance engineers elevated the capability of the popular ZZ502 with more power, more torque and more of the usable performance that helps make the all-new SP502/605 Deluxe crate engine a great choice for your next project (see page 188 for more details). We’ve also added the unique components that make the new SP502/605 Deluxe a modern performer in the classic Big-Block lineup, including new aluminum oval-port cylinder heads, a high-lift hydraulic roller camshaft and tough forged aluminum pistons. Use them to build a better Big-Block of your own! Our expanded choices don’t end with the Big-Block. We’ve added the new 6.6L L8P Performance crate engine to our LT lineup and the new 525 RLB to our racing crate engine roster. It is based on our high-revving, CT525 crate engine, but in a long-block form to be finished by the racer with the induction system of their choice. There are even more new parts across our catalog, offering enthusiasts and builders more choices to build their project and get it on the road, the track or the trail quicker!
